Be careful of people who may be looking for animals for experiments and worse(don't ask)if you are looking for a new home for your pet. Many people would not believe me when I told them that my daughter had a pet goldfish that would come to the surface of the water to be petted by her ( and only her) but it is true !

Worry about what would happen to a pet
If you become unable to take care of your cat, you or a family member may return the cat. It will then be placed into another carefully screened home.

Concern about the expense of a pet
Donations allow us to reduce the adoption fee for cats in this program. Each cat is examined by a veterinarian, neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas/parasites and litter box trained. Start-up supplies can be included as part of the adoption.

Transportation issues
If you are a good candidate for one of our cats but don't drive, a volunteer can come to your home with information on available cats and a cat can be delivered to you."

Being on a low income is hard for humans. For our pets , who count on us so much for care , it can be hard too. Hopefully , this page will have some sources and ideas so that our pets don't have to suffer or go without in any way. The unconditional love that we get from our pets is priceless and everyone , no matter the income , should be able to have that love and to return it to our furry family members.

Because of being on a low income ourselves , it was hard to pay for her care when she got sick , so we have much empathy for our fellow pet cherishers when they want the best possible care for their fluff baby . I have driven around the area that I live and have seen some pretty sad dogs chained up outside. Some people say " But the dog is fine . It is outside and dogs love to be outside."

First of all , dogs love the outdoors, but when you chain them up it is more like a punishment. They usually run out of water , if you put it out for them , or the water bowl gets tipped over . They are LONELY and can get depressed by being left alone all the time.

Do you ever get irritated because your dog or someone else's dog barks all the time ? This is mainly due to bordom.
