I am a Christian . A believer in Yeshua (Jesus) . I am also of Jewish heritage on my fathers side . My family tree goes back from the U.S. then Canada then Germany then the Ukraine. near Kiev . I even have a relative named Yenta ( like the matchmaker in Fiddler on the Roof ! )

Judiasm is the basis for Christianity ! From the start , G-d meant for the Jewish people to be His Chosen people. Unfortunately , many Jewish people today are Jewish only by their cultural patterns and many present day Jews don't attend synagogue or any religious ceremonies. G-d meant for the Jews to be the ones to evangelize us ! When Yeshua came to earth , it was for the Jew first ,and also for the Gentile. Of course , the first believers were Jewish.
Here is a source that I use a lot for Hebrew studies and for studying the Jewish connection to Christianity . This is the organization that publishes the book "A Family Guide to the Biblical Holidays" The best book that I have ever seen for learning about the Jewish-Yeshua connection and for teaching all ages .
For modern day Messianic Jews , there is a wonderful fufillment of G-ds Word. The Messianic Jew is a complete Jew. A Jewish person does not give up their Jewishness to become a follower of Yeshua. In fact , living as a completed Jew in Yeshua, ( the Hebrew way to say Jesus) makes a person even more Jewish !
All who became and are becoming believers in Yeshua should know that G-d meant for His people to become believers and then minister to the Gentiles the good news of Yeshua.For many reasons , the order has been turned around , so that Gentiles are attempting to witness to the Jewish people. This is not how G-d meant it to be.

I can't believe that I forgot music ! I love music . I love singing. I am a vocalist . I have been in an Appalacian/historic Folk Music group and 2 Christian bands/groups , a gospel choir , and countless choirs and bands along the way . My favorite music ? I don't have any . It is just an eclectic mix .
I built a hammered dulcimer for woodshop class in ( well a long time ago in high school ; D ) . The peg boards split down the sides because I was instructed to use the wrong type of wood . It was a learning experience though ! I was the first girl ever in that class and the instuctor was hard on me . Some boys didn't like me being there and destroyed almost all of my projects , but I still am glad I took that class . I hope it paved the way for other girls.
